Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot of requesting reports on what he termed 'trivial matters.' The state government is reviewing these requests.
Siddaramaiah also retaliated against the BJP by highlighting their failure to act on the Justice H S Kempanna Commission's report related to the Arkavathy Layout scam. He indicated that the government would make a decision on the report after examining all relevant aspects.
The Governor had written to Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, seeking a copy of the Kempanna Commission's report and other pertinent data on the alleged land denotification scam. Siddaramaiah was accused of denotifying land during his previous term. Home Minister G Parameshwara supported the CM, arguing that such interference by the Governor in daily administration is unprecedented and potentially unconstitutional.
