Modi Meets World Leaders at UNGA, Strengthens Bilateral Ties

On the second leg of his three-day US visit, Modi met the leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York. 'We had a very good meeting with Prime Minister KP Oli in New York. The India-Nepal friendship is very robust, and we look forward to adding even more momentum to our ties. Our talks focused on issues such as energy, technology, and trade,' Modi posted on X.
Oli, on his first foreign visit to the US for the 79th Session of the UNGA, discussed strengthening cooperation in all areas of the India-Nepal partnership. Modi also accepted an invitation from Oli to visit Nepal.
Additionally, Modi met with Palestine's President Abbas and reiterated India's support for the Palestinian people, expressing concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. He further discussed ways to strengthen historical ties with Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Sabah.
Earlier, Modi interacted with top US tech leaders and CEOs at a roundtable conference and addressed the Indian diaspora. Modi's New York visit followed the Quad Leaders' Summit in Wilmington, where he also held discussions with US President Joe Biden, Japan's PM Fumio Kishida, and Australia's PM Anthony Albanese.
