Randeep Singh Surjewala, a senior Congress leader, has accused the BJP of suffering from a 'bankruptcy of leadership' in Haryana. He confidently asserted that Congress is poised to replicate its 2005 performance when it secured 67 out of 90 seats in the state.

Surjewala noted that the issues in this election have become blurred and the public’s primary desire is to oust the BJP. He claimed that the BJP has stifled leadership development across the country, saying, 'They are killing established leadership of the BJP. What they have done in Rajasthan, got reflected in the Lok Sabha results; people don't accept novices.'

Surjewala, along with his son Aditya, who is contesting his first election from Kaithal, is actively campaigning, focusing on improving local infrastructure and employment. Both are confident of the Congress reclaiming power, with Aditya drawing considerable support from locals. Haryana's Assembly elections are set for October 5 with results on October 8.
