Major Political Parties Gear Up for Jharkhand Elections
Union Minister Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) hinted at potential election strategies, while BJP and Congress gear up for the upcoming legislative assembly elections in Jharkhand, expected later this year.

Union Minister and National President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, announced Monday that the party is on the brink of deciding whether to contest the upcoming Jharkhand elections independently or in alliance. Speaking at Ranchi airport, Paswan emphasized the party's efforts to bolster its organizational strength and conduct various events across Jharkhand.
Paswan highlighted upcoming events, including today's meeting, an event in Palamu, a return to Ranchi on the 29th, and future gatherings in Dhanbad and Jamshedpur. He noted that these activities would guide the party's strategic decisions.
Meanwhile, BJP and Congress are also mobilizing for the elections. BJP's state election in-charge, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, confirmed ongoing candidate selection procedures and criticized the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress alliance. Additionally, Congress announced the formation of multiple committees to spearhead their campaign efforts.
The Election Commission of India has yet to declare official dates for the elections, where 81 legislative assembly seats will be contested.
