BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Sunday accused the Himachal Pradesh government of taking loans and funneling them to former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, thus depleting the state's coffers.

During a BJP membership drive speech, Ranaut emphasized that corruption is rampant within Congress-led state governments and questioned the heavy spending on elections.

Criticizing Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, she claimed that financial mismanagement has taken the state backward by decades and urged people to support the BJP to rectify the situation.

Ranaut alleged that disaster relief funds are misappropriated and paralleled this by criticizing Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh for the state's poor road conditions.

Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'Yug Purush,' she stated that the poor state of Himachal's infrastructure and delayed public salaries and pensions are widely known.

Ranaut also alleged that sports facilities in primary schools are being halted and asserted that it would be her goal to establish a major sports center in the Mandi constituency to foster young talent.
