Just hours after taking oath as the Delhi Chief Minister, Atishi, along with her cabinet, allocated portfolios to her council of ministers. The Aam Aadmi Party leader retained all 13 departments she previously managed. Saurabh Bhardwaj received eight portfolios, Gopal Rai three, Kailash Gahlot five, while Imran Hussain secured two.

Mukesh Ahlawat, the new addition to the government, was assigned five portfolios. Atishi's responsibilities now include Public Works, Power, Education, Higher Education, Training & Technical Education, Public Relations, Revenue, Finance, Planning, Services, Vigilance, Water, Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs, and any unallocated departments.

Bharadwaj will handle Urban Development, Irrigation and Flood Control, Health, Industries, Art Culture & Language, Tourism, Social Welfare, and Cooperative. Rai will oversee Development, General Administration, Environment, Forest and Wildlife. Gahlot retains Home, Information and Technology, Transport, Administrative Reforms, and Women and Child Development. Hussain continues with Food & Supply and Election.

Ahlawat takes over Gurudwara elections, SC & ST, Land & Building, Labour, and Employment, previously managed by Raaj Kumar Anand, who has since joined BJP. Atishi was elected the AAP legislative party leader following Arvind Kejriwal's resignation after securing bail in the Delhi excise policy case. She and her ministers were sworn in during a ceremony at Raj Bhawan.
