Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has lashed out at the BJP for its 'anti-youth and anti-poor' policies while calling for the establishment of a 'stable and pro-people' government in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing an election rally telephonically, Kharge emphasized the Congress's commitment to restoring statehood and accelerating development in the Union Territory.
Kharge criticized the BJP's failure to deliver on promises, highlighting soaring unemployment, delayed development projects, and lack of basic services. He vowed that the Congress would focus on comprehensive development, including job creation, infrastructure improvement, and safeguarding the region's cultural identity.
He also condemned the BJP's Agniveer scheme, calling it reckless and detrimental to India's defense forces. According to Kharge, this short-term recruitment initiative compromises national security by undermining the professionalism and morale of the military.
