Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann unleashed a salvo at the BJP government in Haryana on Saturday, accusing it of presiding over an unemployment rate five times higher than the national average.
Mann, speaking at a roadshow for AAP candidate Satish Yadav in Rewari, lamented the plight of Haryana's youth and urged the electorate to back the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming October 5 assembly elections.
Targeting both state and central administrations, Mann decried the Agnipath scheme and pressed for the restoration of the previous military recruitment policy. In a bid to showcase his own governance record, Mann highlighted Punjab's strides in employment, education, and healthcare, pledging that similar transformations await Haryana under AAP leadership.
He emphasized Punjab's achievements, including 45,000 new government jobs, improved public schools, and widespread access to free electricity and healthcare through initiatives like mohalla clinics. Later, Mann also campaigned in Rohtak's Meham constituency for party nominee Vikas Nehra, reiterating his call for change and better governance.
Polling for Haryana's 90 assembly seats is scheduled for October 5, with vote counting on October 8.
