The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday connected recent posters in the United States targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to the country. The allegations were articulated by BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, who condemned the posters as objectionable, disrespectful, and extremely condemnable.
Trivedi said the posters, part of an anti-India campaign, have led to doubts among Indians about whether the materials are a result of Gandhi's meetings with established and sponsored anti-India elements during his visit. He questioned whether the same group facilitating Gandhi's meetings with anti-India forces was behind the posters.
He lamented that the campaign against Modi's leadership comes despite his achievements: elevating India's economy, lifting millions out of poverty, and enhancing national security and global standing. Using a poem, Trivedi described the campaign as reflecting the desperation of anti-India forces.
