BJP leader Babita Phogat has fired back at her cousin, Vinesh Phogat, who is contesting from the Julana assembly seat. Vinesh criticized the BJP during her campaign for the upcoming Haryana elections, saying, 'This time Congress' symbol of hand will act as a slap. On October 5, this slap will strike in Delhi.'

Babita labeled Vinesh's remarks as 'a statement of narrow mindset' and advised her to rethink her words. As the elections draw near, Babita has been actively engaging with party workers. She told ANI that senior BJP leaders are guiding workers on public engagement and showcasing the BJP's achievements. Babita is confident of a BJP victory in Haryana for the third time.

Highlighting the importance of motivating party workers, Babita said, 'The job of the party is to motivate the workers, instil enthusiasm in them, and respected Biplab Dev ji has today instilled enthusiasm in all of us workers by giving us the mantra of victory.' She added, 'We will go among the people with the mantra of victory to form the government for the third time.' Addressing her cousin's statement, Babita reiterated, 'We should think about our words; we should reflect on them.'

Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat, running as a Congress candidate from Julana, filed her nomination last week. She slammed the BJP for disrespecting Haryana's people and promised to 'take revenge for unemployment and your insult over the past 10 years.' Vinesh, who protested against BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh last year, joined Congress on September 6. She faces BJP's Captain Yogesh Bairagi in Julana, with votes counted on October 8. In 2019, BJP won 40 seats to Congress's 30.
