Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge declared on Saturday that his party will not be intimidated by the 'poisonous mindset' of the RSS-BJP. He announced that Congress would launch an agitation against threats directed towards Rahul Gandhi.
Kharge questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inaction against party leaders who have made derogatory remarks about the Lok Sabha's leader of opposition. 'BJP and RSS leaders, including MLAs and MPs, have spoken about chopping off the tongues of our leaders. Rahul Gandhi is being attacked for speaking the truth, and an environment of hate similar to what was once directed at his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, is being created,' Kharge stated at a press conference in Jammu.
'Provocative speeches by BJP and RSS leaders go unaddressed by the prime minister, indicating his fear of them,' Kharge added. He argued that Gandhi is being labeled a 'terrorist' and 'anti-national,' and accused the prime minister of encouraging such behavior by failing to take action.
