Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has accused leaders from three generations of the Nehru-Gandhi family, including former prime ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajiv Gandhi, of opposing reservation policies.
Bawankule called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to avoid making anti-India statements and to clarify his stance on reservation before visiting Maharashtra. He distanced himself from incendiary remarks made by BJP's Rajya Sabha member Anil Bonde and Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad against Gandhi.
He also highlighted the BJP's outreach efforts and welfare schemes for tribal communities, contrasting them with the alleged neglect during the Congress rule, ahead of the upcoming state assembly polls.
