Trump and Polish President Duda to Possibly Share Stage in Pennsylvania
Donald Trump and Polish President Andrzej Duda are planning to appear together in Pennsylvania. Although the dual appearance is not yet confirmed, it would be a rare occurrence of a foreign leader participating in a U.S. presidential campaign. Duda and Trump have been invited to the unveiling of a Solidarity Monument.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to appear with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Pennsylvania on Sunday, according to two insiders. While the appearance remains unconfirmed, if it proceeds, this would be a rare event with a foreign leader joining a U.S. campaign trail.
Close allies during Trump's term, Duda and Trump last met in April. Malgorzata Paprocka, the chief of Duda's chancellery, mentioned that the Polish president's office did not initiate or confirm the meeting with Trump but noted both leaders have been invited to the unveiling of a Solidarity Monument.
This comes as world leaders arrive for the UN General Assembly, with several foreign delegations seeking meetings with Trump. At a recent Michigan town hall, Trump announced a meeting with India's Prime Minister Modi and revealed plans with Duda to attend an event north of Philadelphia. The Trump campaign and Polish embassy have yet to comment.
