The Congress on Wednesday lodged a police complaint alleging that recent statements by NDA leaders targeting Rahul Gandhi are aimed at jeopardizing his security and disturbing peace amid ongoing elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.
The complaint, submitted to Tughlaq Road police station by AICC treasurer Ajay Maken, cites threats and inflammatory remarks made by BJP leaders Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Raghuraj Singh, and Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad.
Maken called for FIRs against these leaders, stating that the threats are attempts to provoke public hatred and incite violence against Gandhi. He emphasized that Congress would not be intimidated by such threats and condemned the BJP for not taking action against their leaders' inflammatory statements.
