Gold Apollo Clarifies Role in Explosive Pagers in Middle East
Taiwanese company Gold Apollo confirmed the involvement of its branded pagers in explosions in Lebanon and Syria, manufactured by BAC Consulting in Hungary. The pagers were used by Hezbollah and reportedly infiltrated with explosive material. Gold Apollo's chair, Hsu Ching-kuang, emphasized their limited role in authorizing the brand and not the design or production.

Taiwanese company Gold Apollo clarified on Wednesday that while their brand appears on pagers involved in recent Lebanon and Syria explosions, a Budapest-based company manufactured them.
According to the statement, the AR-924 pagers used by Hezbollah were produced and sold by BAC Consulting KFT, authorized to use Gold Apollo's trademark in specific regions.
Gold Apollo chair Hsu Ching-kuang emphasized that design and manufacturing responsibilities lie solely with BAC, hinting at a sophisticated supply chain infiltration leading to the explosive modifications.
