AAP's Pathak Slams BJP over Kejriwal Arrest Attempts
AAP MP Sandeep Pathak criticized BJP for attempting to arrest Arvind Kejriwal and forcing his resignation. Despite the failed plan, Kejriwal resigned on moral grounds, proposing Atishi's name for interim CM. Kejriwal was granted bail, under conditions, in the Delhi excise policy case.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sandeep Pathak launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the BJP aimed to arrest former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, and force his resignation to dismantle his party.
'The BJP's goal was to arrest Arvind Kejriwal, get his resignation, and break the Aam Aadmi Party. Now, Arvind Kejriwal is out, the party did not break, and the whole plan of the BJP flopped,' Pathak stated. He pointed out that the court granted Kejriwal bail, confirming there were no corruption charges against him. 'In such a situation, he does not need to resign, but he is resigning because of his morals and principles,' Pathak added.
'He will not sit on the CM's chair till the people give him a clean chit. The party has proposed Atishi's name for the interim period. The whole situation is the result of the undeclared emergency imposed by the BJP,' he alleged further. Atishi, a prominent AAP leader poised to become the next Chief Minister, expressed mixed feelings about Kejriwal's resignation but committed to work towards his return as CM after the upcoming assembly polls.
Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on September 14 after being granted bail in the Delhi excise policy case by the apex court, which imposed conditions on his release, including refraining from public comments about the case and attending all trial court hearings unless exempted.
