A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi High Court against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. The petition, spearheaded by Surjeet Yadav, President of Hindu Sena (S), accuses Bittu of making derogatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. The PIL emphasizes the potential of Bittu's remarks to incite widespread violence and social unrest, urging the court to take necessary actions to address the situation.

The PIL's call for action stems from the belief that Bittu's statements could endanger public peace and harmony. Surjeet Yadav has appealed to the court to mitigate potential threats. In response to Bittu's remarks, Congress workers in Chandigarh staged protests on Tuesday. Harmohinder Singh Lucky, the state president of Chandigarh Congress, strongly condemned Bittu's comments, labeling them as deplorable and unacceptable.

Reacting to Bittu's criticism of Rahul Gandhi made during a USA visit, the Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit also voiced disapproval, reflecting on Bittu's past admiration for Gandhi and his subsequent switch in loyalty to the BJP. Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring added that Bittu's comments were an attempt to please his political masters, reminding the public of Rahul Gandhi's sacrifices. The controversy began with Gandhi highlighting issues concerning Sikh rights during his USA visit, sparking a wave of political backlash.
