Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge affirmed on Tuesday that his party will ensure Jammu and Kashmir regains its full-fledged state status. Highlighting the seven guarantees promised before the assembly elections, Kharge emphasized employment opportunities for youth, offering one lakh government jobs.
Kharge further detailed the party's promise of providing Rs 25 lakh worth of free treatment per family and establishing super-specialty hospitals in every district to create a healthier society. Financial protection of Rs 3,000 per month for women heads of families and food security with 11 kg grain for each family member were also assured.
The Congress manifesto, released in Srinagar, focuses on comprehensive welfare measures, including crop insurance and minimum support prices for farmers. These initiatives, alongside filling government posts and providing unemployment allowances for the youth, aim to revitalize Jammu and Kashmir.
