Pope Francis on Friday criticized both US presidential candidates for supporting what he labeled as anti-life policies regarding abortion and migration, urging American Catholics to choose the 'lesser evil' in the upcoming elections.
'Both are against life, be it the one who kicks out migrants or the one who supports killing babies,' Francis stated. The Argentine Jesuit, during an airborne press conference, provided guidance to American Catholic voters without naming the Republican Donald Trump or the Democrat Kamala Harris directly.
Francis, whose pontificate has emphasized the plight of migrants and upheld church teaching against abortion, declared migration a Biblical right and criticized abortion as killing, urging voters to fulfill their civic duty thoughtfully.
