The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hailed the Supreme Court's decision on Friday to grant bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the corruption case linked to the excise policy 'scam'. The party termed it as a 'victory of truth'.
The apex court's ruling facilitates Kejriwal's release, who has already been granted interim bail in the related money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate. This development is seen as a major boost for AAP as it gears up for the upcoming elections in Delhi and Haryana.
Prominent AAP leaders, including former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MPs Raghav Chadha and Harbhajan Singh, expressed their satisfaction over the decision. Sisodia emphasized the triumph of truth over lies and conspiracies, while Singh highlighted the rejuvenation of party workers ready to serve the people.
