Trump Declines Third Debate; Polls Show Harris Won
Republican nominee Donald Trump has announced he will not participate in a third presidential debate against Kamala Harris, despite polls indicating that Harris won their previous debate. Trump's decision comes after mixed reactions, with several surveys and Republican insiders suggesting Harris had the upper hand.
Republican nominee Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will not engage in another presidential debate against Kamala Harris ahead of the November 5 election. The decision follows a series of polls indicating his Democratic opponent had outperformed him in their recent debate.
'THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!' Trump declared on Truth Social. Though he praised his own debate performance earlier this week, multiple Republican donors and advisers are of the belief that Harris clinched a victory, mainly due to Trump's lack of message cohesion.
The debate drew 67.1 million viewers, as per Nielsen ratings. Harris, reacting to Trump's announcement at a rally, emphasized the voters' right to a further debate. Various polls, including a Reuters/Ipsos survey, demonstrated that a majority of respondents felt Harris had won, with 54% deeming the single debate sufficient.
