Senior BJP leader Devender Rana on Thursday officially filed his nomination papers for the Nagrota assembly seat, urging voters to support his party to ensure the Jammu region leads Jammu and Kashmir.

Rana, running for the second time from this seat, was joined by former Union minister Anurag Thakur and BJP's J&K election in-charge, Ram Madhav, as they held a roadshow showcasing his campaign strength. ''Today, I filed my nomination paper...people are fully supporting me. We will form the government,'' Rana stated to reporters, emphasizing his dedication to the constituency and his availability to constituents.

Thakur asserted the BJP's determination to win a majority and continue the developmental journey in Jammu and Kashmir. Rana, who originally won the Nagrota seat in 2014, left the National Conference for the BJP three years ago and champions the Jammu Declaration for an inclusive future.
