Sarjan Ahmad Wagay's daughter voiced strong allegations against Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, accusing him of failing to support her family during a critical period.
In a dramatic move, she tore her father's nomination papers from the Langate assembly seat, denouncing Rashid and his party for their apparent neglect. Rashid, who was released from Tihar Jail on interim bail recently, contested the claims, stating that she should have approached his party earlier.
Despite the tension, Rashid pledged to fight for the release of prisoners, including Sarjan Ahmad Wagay, and emphasized his understanding of the hardships faced by detainees.
