Russian Pranksters Fool Polish Minister in Fake Call with Ex-Ukraine President

Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stolyarov, known by their aliases Vovan and Lexus, have once again created a stir by fooling Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski into a fake video call. Sikorski believed he was conversing with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

The duo, famous for their controversial pranks on Western politicians, released the footage on Thursday. The timing seems intended to embarrass Sikorski as he was engaged in discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Polish foreign ministry, skeptical of the footage's authenticity, suggests the material might have been obtained in March and possibly edited.

Although Sikorski's comments on the video include his views on Ukraine joining the EU, NATO's bargaining tactics, and Donald Trump's potential presidential return, spokesperson Pawel Wronski insists there's nothing to be ashamed of and that similar statements have been made publicly before.
