Sheikh Abdul Rashid, widely known as Engineer Rashid, launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the INDIA bloc on Wednesday. Rashid alleged that the ruling central party attacks openly, while the opposition stabs in the back.
Wearing a black band in protest against the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the Baramulla MP announced his party's plan to contest up to 40 seats in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir elections without forming any coalition.
Speaking post his interim bail from Tihar Jail, Rashid clarified that his fight is not for statehood but for justice, asserting that the dilution of Article 370 was an act against Kashmiris. He criticized both BJP and the opposition for their double standards on nationalism and secularism.
