National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday urged BRICS nations to collaborate effectively to combat terrorism and digital challenges.
Speaking at a conclave of BRICS national security advisors in St Petersburg, Doval emphasized the need to reform multilateral structures, which he believes are inadequate for addressing modern threats and sensitive issues.
Doval briefly interacted with Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi and is scheduled for a bilateral meeting on Thursday. The three-day conclave precedes the annual BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend.
