Union minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday responded sharply to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks on minority safety in India, emphasizing that minorities are the safest in the country.
Rijiju, addressing Gandhi's statements made in the US about the RSS's perceived biases against certain religions and communities, asserted that India's Constitution and culture do not discriminate. He insisted that efforts to malign India's image using anti-India forces would not succeed.
Highlighting historical and current perspectives, Rijiju stressed that India's neighbors' minorities often migrate to India when facing adverse conditions. He also dismissed Gandhi's claims about China occupying Indian land since Modi's administration, inviting opposition leaders to verify the border security situation firsthand.
