Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that Moscow is optimistic about President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Turkey to engage in crucial talks with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, pending the completion of necessary preparations.
Peskov also revealed Moscow's hopes for the two leaders to hold discussions on the sidelines of the forthcoming BRICS summit, which will take place in the Russian city of Kazan.
The potential meetings signal a significant diplomatic effort to strengthen bilateral relations between Russia and Turkey.
