A Supreme Court lawyer has lodged a formal complaint against Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, following remarks he made during his visit to the United States regarding Sikhs. The lawyer, Vineet Jindal, has reached out to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, NIA Director General, and the Delhi Police Commissioner, urging them to register a case for Gandhi's allegedly false and inflammatory statements made on September 9.

Jindal claims that Gandhi's statements, which suggested that Sikhs face the struggle to wear their turban, kada, and visit the Gurdwara, are misleading and designed to instigate the Sikh community for political gains. Jindal further stated that there have been no reported incidents of Sikhs being impeded from practicing their faith in India.

In his complaint, Jindal requested the authorities to take immediate action, including the revocation of Gandhi's passport. He labeled the comments as hate speech intended to cause societal divisions. The complaint comes amid support from the banned Khalistani terrorist organization, Sikh for Justice, which has endorsed Gandhi's remarks, hinting at a larger conspiracy against India.
