Eknath Khadse's Return to BJP in Doubt Amid Factional Turmoil
The likelihood of senior leader Eknath Khadse rejoining the BJP seems minimal as he expressed a lack of interest and speculated that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis might be obstructing his return. Khadse, now with NCP (SP), was previously welcomed back with a scarf by BJP president J P Nadda.

Eknath Khadse's prospects of rejoining the BJP appear bleak, as he has stated that he was never keen on returning and accused Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of potentially blocking his reinduction.
The speculation about his return strengthened when the BJP renominated his daughter-in-law, Raksha Khadse, as the 2024 Lok Sabha poll candidate and made her a Union Minister of State after her victory. Despite this, no official announcement regarding Khadse's reinduction has been made.
Speaking to a regional news channel, Khadse mentioned that senior BJP leaders had insisted on his return. When he met BJP president J P Nadda, he was felicitated with a scarf and declared part of the BJP. However, Khadse suggested that Fadnavis and Girish Mahajan might be obstructing his return. Girish Mahajan responded by hinting at Khadse's desire to secure positions for his family members, highlighting their ongoing feud.
