Santosh Yadav, the Vice President of BJP's Haryana state unit, resigned on Tuesday following her exclusion from the ticket list for the upcoming assembly elections. Yadav criticized the party for ignoring dedicated grassroots leaders.
Yadav had hoped to secure a ticket for the Ateli constituency, but the BJP chose Aarti Singh Rao, daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, instead. Her resignation comes after Haryana minister Ranjit Singh Chautala and MLA Lakshman Dass Napa, who switched to Congress, also quit due to ticket denial.
In her resignation letter addressed to the state BJP chief, Yadav highlighted her unwavering dedication to the party and voiced her concerns over the party's neglect of loyal workers. The 90-member assembly elections are scheduled for October 5.
