Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday refuted allegations that the BJP had suggested a friendly competition for 25 assembly seats within the ruling alliance in the state.
Pawar assured that the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP would collectively address ticket distribution matters for all 288 assembly seats. State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule also rejected claims of any such proposal.
Pawar clarified that his recent meeting with Amit Shah was to discuss agricultural price issues and that any talk of contesting some seats individually was mere speculation.
