Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced on Tuesday that the party will strengthen its support for Mahayuti coalition allies, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, in the state elections.
Addressing a question about reports suggesting a friendly contest in 25 constituencies with internal tussles among alliance partners, Bawankule dismissed such claims as baseless. He reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to backing NCP and Shiv Sena candidates.
Bawankule also commented on a social media post by NCP(SP) leader Rohit Pawar predicting seat distribution in the upcoming elections, stating that such surveys are inconsequential. He added that the re-election of the Mahayuti government would ensure the continuation of beneficial schemes introduced by both the Centre and state.
