The BJP's membership numbers have exceeded two crores in just eight days following the launch of a nationwide drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement was made on Tuesday during a review meeting at the BJP headquarters.
Top party leaders, including BJP President J P Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and National General Secretary B L Santosh, gathered to assess the progress. The drive, inaugurated by Modi on September 2, aims to rejuvenate existing memberships and enlist new members every six years according to party rules.
Vinod Tawde, the party's national general secretary, confirmed the impressive surge in membership. Senior BJP members also held separate meetings with state officials from nine states to ensure comprehensive participation. Future discussions will aim to make the drive more inclusive and meet the expectations set by the Prime Minister.
