Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu is set to visit India on an official trip in the near future, as confirmed by his chief spokesperson Heena Waleed on Tuesday.

The announcement came on the heels of the resignation of two junior ministers, initially suspended in January for making derogatory comments against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Waleed stated that both nations are in the process of finalizing a mutually convenient date for the visit, which aims to improve bilateral relations.
