The Communist Party of India (CPI), aligned with the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] in Kerala, voiced its disapproval on Tuesday regarding Assembly Speaker A N Shamseer's remarks about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Shamseer defended Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) M R Ajithkumar's controversial meeting with an RSS leader, highlighting the organization as 'significant'. However, CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam argued that such statements should be avoided.
Viswam stressed that the Left Front does not consider the RSS, which they believe poses a serious threat to India's progress and secular values, as significant. The meeting between Ajithkumar and an RSS leader has sparked demands for a detailed investigation, further distancing many from the ADGP.
