ABU DHABI'S CROWN PRINCE RECEIVES GRAND WELCOME IN INDIA
Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in India on Sunday, marking the start of a landmark two-day visit intended to strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors, including energy and connectivity.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal greeted the Crown Prince at the airport, highlighting the significance of the visit with a ceremonial welcome. The Crown Prince is accompanied by UAE ministers and a business delegation, aiming to foster mutual economic growth.
As part of the visit, discussions with Prime Minister Modi are set for Monday, followed by a business forum in Mumbai on Tuesday. This visit reflects deep-rooted relations, an ongoing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and initiatives like the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and Local Currency Settlement (LCS) System, which underpin their thriving bilateral trade of approximately USD 85 billion for 2022-23.
