Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urged the residents of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to join India, during a speech at an election rally in the Ramban assembly constituency. Singh stated, 'We consider you our own unlike Pakistan, which treats you as foreigners.'

At the rally supporting BJP candidate Rakesh Singh Thakur, Singh emphasized the improved security situation in Jammu and Kashmir since Article 370's abrogation in August 2019. He criticized the National Conference-Congress alliance for wanting to restore Article 370, calling it impossible under BJP's rule.

The Defence Minister highlighted BJP's development plans to make J&K a modern state, urging voters to support BJP. He also reiterated that Pakistan treats PoK residents as foreigners, contrasting that with India's inclusive stance.
