The political landscape in Kerala remains heated as the ruling CPI (M) and the opposition Congress continue to clash over an alleged meeting between top IPS officer Ajith Kumar and RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale last year.
CPI (M) state secretary M V Govindan reiterated that the officer's meeting was a personal affair, dismissing allegations that it involved Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Govindan criticized the media for stirring up controversy.
On the other hand, Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan insisted the meeting had political undertones, alleging it involved a message from the CM. He accused the CPI (M) of attempting to distance itself from the contentious encounter, questioning the bona fides of the Marxist party's pro-secular stance.
