Shiromani Akali Dal to Launch District-Level Protests in Punjab Against AAP Government

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) announced plans to hold district-level protests across Punjab, aimed at exposing the anti-people policies of the AAP government led by Bhagwant Mann. The protests will begin on September 10 in Ludhiana, followed by various other districts, focusing on issues like increased VAT, bus fare hikes, and withdrawal of power subsidies.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has announced a series of district-level protests across Punjab aimed at exposing what it calls the anti-people policies of the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

According to SAD Working President Balwinder Singh Bhundar, the protests will commence on September 10 in Ludhiana and continue through September 23 across various districts including Ferozepur, Fazilka, Moga, and Bathinda, among others. The demonstrations aim to highlight the state government's failure on issues such as the withdrawal of power subsidies, increased taxes on petrol and diesel, and higher registration fees for land deeds.

Additionally, SAD criticized the government's handling of law and order, alleging a complete collapse under Mann's leadership and claiming that industries are leaving the state.
