Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Friday lambasted the Maharashtra government for its worsening law and order situation and alleged involvement in numerous scams. According to Chennithala, the current conditions are ideal for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to return to power in the state.
Chennithala, who is Congress general secretary in-charge of Maharashtra, stated that the people of the state are prepared for change and asserted that the MVA would win a substantial majority in the forthcoming assembly elections in November. He also mentioned that the Congress party has reviewed preparations in 172 out of the 288 constituencies.
Chennithala highlighted that the law and order situation has deteriorated significantly with rising incidents of murder, robbery, and crimes against women. He also accused the current Mahayuti government of being preoccupied with scams while neglecting pressing issues like inflation and flood relief.
