Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren has affirmed that the BJP is the sole party committed to the state's development. He added that no force can prevent the party from forming the government in Jharkhand. Soren vowed to work for the welfare of Adivasi, indigenous people, and Dalits in the state.

'BJP is the only party that has the intention to develop Jharkhand. BJP is the only party that can protect 'Adivasi asmita'. We will work for the welfare of the Adivasi, indigenous people, and Dalits of the state. No one can stop the BJP from forming government in Jharkhand,' said Champai Soren. Soren joined the BJP on August 30 at an event attended by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi, alongside other state BJP leaders.

Soren resigned from all positions and primary membership of JMM on August 28. He became the chief minister of Jharkhand on February 2, shortly after Hemant Soren resigned as CM before being arrested by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in a money laundering case. In less than two months, Champai had to step down, allowing Hemant Soren's return following his bail. This development comes ahead of the state's election to its 81-member legislative assembly later this year. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has yet to announce the dates.
