During a press conference in Rawalpindi, ISPR Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry assured that Hameed would receive a fair trial, terming it an example of the military's self-accountability.

In response to inquiries regarding potential actions against Imran Khan, Chaudhry stated that such matters were hypothetical but emphasized that the law would take its course if evidence of misuse of army personnel for political objectives was found.
