Omar Abdullah Files Nomination for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Polls
Omar Abdullah, the National Conference (NC) vice-president, has filed his nomination papers for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls from Budgam and Ganderbal. Accompanied by senior NC leaders, Abdullah aims to contest from two constituencies. The elections will be held in three phases starting September 18.

Omar Abdullah, the vice-president of the National Conference (NC), filed his nomination papers on Thursday to contest the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections from Budgam. This was confirmed by an NC spokesperson.
Accompanied by senior NC leaders, including Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, Aga Mehmood, party treasurer Shammi Oberoi, and provincial secretary Shaukat Mir, Abdullah has also filed his papers for the Ganderbal constituency on Wednesday.
The 90-member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will go to polls in three phases on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with the counting of votes scheduled for October 8.
