Donald Trump's campaign has garnered $130 million in August, a slight dip from the previous month, yet placing the GOP nominee advantageously for the upcoming two months of the election. According to campaign advisers, this figure puts them in a strong position as the battle intensifies.

An overwhelming 98% of the funds came in donations of less than $200, with an average contribution of $56. The fundraising update comes at a critical juncture, as the contest between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris reaches its climax. This follows President Joe Biden's recent withdrawal from the race and his subsequent endorsement of Harris as the Democratic lead.

While Trump has consistently shown robust fundraising capabilities, Harris's fresh campaign has seen a surge in donations from Democratic supporters. Harris's yet-to-be-released August figures follow a precedent set in a five-week span, where her campaign amassed $540 million following Biden's exit. Notably, the Harris campaign has already allocated nearly $25 million for down-ballot race support, setting a historic record for presidential cycles.

Trump's campaign, meanwhile, reported record figures with $138.7 million raised in July. Entering August with $327 million cash on hand, they ended the month with $295 million. Senior adviser Brian Hughes stated that the campaign's numbers reflect growing unified support and are poised to drive Trump's 'America First' agenda back to the White House.
