Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) working president Balwinder Singh Bhundar on Wednesday appointed Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal as the campaign in-charge for the Gidderbaha assembly by-election.

Senior SAD leader Hira Singh Gabria has been given the responsibility of leading the campaign in Barnala (city), while Iqbal Singh Jhunda will oversee the party's efforts in Barnala (rural). SAD spokesperson Daljit Singh Cheema announced the new appointments, informing that the campaign heads are tasked with devising comprehensive plans for each constituency.

Cheema explained that the campaign leaders will organize meetings with local party workers and manage booth-wise responsibilities to ensure effective campaigning. The Gidderbaha seat became vacant following Amrinder Singh Raja Warring's election to the Ludhiana Lok Sabha, while the Barnala seat emerged due to Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer's election to the Sangrur Lok Sabha.
