Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of failing to protect the people of Manipur.
Kharge criticized the BJP government for its inaction over the past 16 months, during which the state has been engulfed in violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities. The Congress leader highlighted that over 235 people have died, and thousands have been displaced, yet no effective peace measures have been undertaken.
Further adding to the gravity of the situation, he mentioned recent drone attacks and the removal of the state Governor, questioning the government's competence and commitment to resolving the crisis.
