Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of losing his confidence following the recent Lok Sabha elections and predicted that his government would be ousted soon.
Addressing a rally in Jammu and Kashmir's Banihal Assembly constituency, Gandhi asserted that the Central government is run by PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and their corporate friends.
Criticizing Modi for handling unemployment and economic policies like GST and demonetization, Gandhi alleged that these measures harmed small businesses, favoring billionaires Adani and Ambani instead.
He further claimed that Jammu and Kashmir's statehood was revoked to benefit these corporations and highlighted the region's high unemployment rate, urging for better employment opportunities for the youth.
Gandhi also mentioned the impact of the INDIA bloc in challenging Modi's leadership and the opposition's demand for a caste-based census, suggesting that these pressures have unsettled the Prime Minister.
As part of his campaign for the party's candidates in the upcoming elections, Gandhi emphasized the significance of the upcoming assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
