The ruling CPI(M) in Kerala announced on Monday that it will thoroughly investigate allegations made by LDF legislator P V Anvar against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's close aides, P Sasi and senior IPS officer M R Ajith Kumar.

Responding to the charges from businessman-turned-politician and two-time MLA Anvar, CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan stated that both the party and the government would meticulously examine all aspects of the accusations and take a stance accordingly. Nilambur MLA Anvar has accused Sasi and Kumar of breaching trust and failing to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity.

Anvar's allegations that Kumar tapped ministers' phone conversations, connected with gold smuggling rackets, and engaged in serious crimes have sparked significant political reactions. Opposition parties, including the Congress and BJP, have demanded Chief Minister Vijayan's resignation and called for a comprehensive probe into the purported illegal activities within the Chief Minister's Office.
