Kremlin Spokesman: Kamala Harris Seen as Predictable Opponent Compared to Trump

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Russia views U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris as a more predictable opponent compared to Republican Donald Trump. He indicated that regardless of the election outcome, there is no expectation for improved relations with Washington.

During an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a TV reporter known for his close Kremlin connections, Peskov appeared to dismiss Trump's claims that he could resolve the Ukraine war within 24 hours if re-elected. Peskov reiterated the Russian stance that Democrats, including Harris, are more predictable than Trump.

Peskov also remarked on the strained U.S.-Russia relations, noting they have reached a historic low with little hope for recovery. He labeled Trump's promise to end the Ukraine crisis overnight as a 'fantasy' and emphasized that there's no 'magic wand' to resolve ongoing tensions quickly.
